Mike McMahon reviewed the revised plans. The Visitor’s Center is now designed with one story, a clock tower, and the size was reduced to 1,000 sq. ft. because of budget concerns. Mr. McMahon presented samples of the clay roof tile in dark grey and sample paint colors. Mr. McMahon stated the brick colors/design had not yet been selected but the brick will likely be in red tones. Board members commented on the reduced size of the building and the colors selected for the doors and windows. Mr. McMahon indicated that the Visitor’s Center is designed to look like it is separate from the Windmill structure even though the building is now attached. Board members commented that they like the original grey color of the base of the windmill and they agreed that a hand molded brick would look best and the windows should have a brown to brown match instead of white or blue. D. De Bruin commented that the door should not have the green color in it and the blue color is preferred. Board members indicated agreement with the roof tile selection but stated approval of the other design elements will be reviewed once the brick is selected. C. Kell noted the change to the structure supports for the Windmill and asked that the Board consider approving that change. Moved by J. Elrick, seconded by R. Peterson to approve the modifications made to the structure supports for the Little Chute Windmill.
