Minutes of the Meeting of the Kimberly-Little Chute Public Library Board October 8, 2013 The meeting was called to order at 4:31 p.m. by President Moes at the James J. Siebers Memorial Library in Kimberly. PRESENT: Amanda Fletcher, Kris Graff, Jim Hietpas, Mike Hruzek, Jim Moes, Rose Vander Velden, Lori Vanderloop. ABSENT: Tamara Talsma. OTHERS PRESENT: Beth Carpenter. OLD BUSINESS Carpenter presented a revised 2014 Library Budget for review and discussion. Revisions noted: 1% cost of living increase added to all staff payroll, with the exception of Summer Students; slight adjustments to Health Insurance costs; slight adjustment to Audio Visual line item to accommodate changes in payroll. The overall increase of 0.95% remained the same as was presented in the previous budget draft. Carpenter noted concern about expectations for fines revenue, as related to cuts in services provided by Fox Valley Metro Police Department. Carpenter also noted concerns about cutting the materials budget and the need for creative fundraising to replace lost funds. Discussion followed. Vander Velden moved, seconded by Fletcher, to approve the revised 2014 Library Budget as presented. Motion carried.
