Fox Valley Metro Police Department Police Commission Meeting Minutes March 27, 2018 Present: Chuck Rundquist, President Scott Schommer Bill Van Berkel Kerry Ruhnke Mark Verhagen Jason Weber Excused: N/A Guest: Interim Chief Scott Lund, FVMPD and Russ VanGompel The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m., and roll call was taken. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Scott Schommer to approve the minutes from the March 6, 2018 meeting, and Mark Verhagen seconded the motion. The motion carried, 5-0. Public Appearances to Address the Police Commission None Closed Session A motion was made by Kerry Ruhnke and seconded by Mark Verhagen to adjourn to closed session. The motion carried, 4–0. Scott Schommer made a motion to return to open session, and it was seconded by Kerry Ruhnke. The motion carried, 5-0. Action from Closed Session A motion was made by Mark Verhagen to direct the consultant to offer a conditional offer of employment as the Police Commission of Fox Valley Metro Police Department to Daniel Miester. Jason Weber seconded the motion. The motion carried 5 – 0. Commission President Communications None. The next Police Commission meeting will be at the call of the President.
