City of Loganville Planning & Development Planning Commission Public Hearing Municipal Council Chambers 4385 Pecan Street Called Meeting Thursday, May 5, 2016 • 6:30 p.m. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Invocation was given by Chairman, Janice Tribble followed by the pledge of allegiance. ATTENDANCE: Planning & Development Director, Tim Prater; Planning Commission Chairman Janice Tribble; Planning Commissioners, Bruce Granoff, Faye Lamb, Barbara Forrester, Richard Homick and Danny Ford were present. Michael Lynch was absent. Administrative assistant, Nina Ramsey recorded the minutes. MINUTES APPROVED: A motion was made by Barbara Forrester and seconded by Danny Ford to approve the minutes from March 31, 2016. Motion carried 5 – 0. BUSINESS: Case #V16-008 – Southwest Property Management filed an application requesting a major variance. Relief is sought from the City of Loganville Zoning Ordinance Section 119-217 (e) requiring a 30 foot minimum rear yard setback. The applicant is requesting a 10-foot reduction from the required setback. The property is located at 4753 Atlanta Hwy, Map/Parcel #LG11-0164, Walton County, Georgia. The property owner is American National Insurance Company. A motion was made by Danny Ford and seconded by Barbara Forrester to recommend approval of the variance. Motion carried 5 – 0; therefore the recommendation is to approve the variance. ADJOURN – A motion was made by Bruce Granoff and seconded by Danny Ford to adjourn.
