City of Loganville Planning & Development Planning Commission Public Hearing Municipal Council Chambers 4385 Pecan Street Thursday, August 25, 2016 • 6:30 p.m. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Invocation was given by Chairman, Janice Tribble followed by the pledge of allegiance. ATTENDANCE: Planning & Development Director, Tim Prater; Planning Commission Chairman Janice Tribble; Planning Commissioners, Bruce Granoff, Barbara Forrester, Richard Homick, Danny Ford and Lisa Newberry. Faye Lamb was absent. Administrative assistant, Nina Ramsey recorded the minutes. MINUTES APPROVED: A motion was made by Barbara Forrester and seconded by Danny Ford to approve the minutes from May 26, 2016. Motion carried 5 – 0 NEW PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER: Chairman Janice Tribble introduced and welcomed the newly appointed Planning Commission member Lisa Newberry. BUSINESS: Case # R16-010 – Victory Baptist Church filed an application to rezone approximately 24.99 acres located at 150 Clark McCullers Road, Map/Parcel #LG11-161, Walton County, Georgia. The property owner is the Walton County Board of Education. The current zoning is R-44. The requested zoning is CH to allow the relocation of Victory Baptist Church and school. A motion was made by Richard Homick and seconded by Barbara Forrester to approve the rezone. Motion carried 4 – 1 with Danny Ford opposing; therefore, the recommendation is to approve the rezone. Case #R16-011 – Victory Baptist Church filed an application to rezone approximately 10.12 acres located at 152 Clark McCullers Road, Map/Parcel #LG11-163, Walton County, Georgia. The property owner is the Walton County Board of Education. The current zoning is R-44. The requested zoning is CH to allow the relocation of Victory Baptist Church and School. A motion was made by Bruce Granoff and seconded by Barbara Forrester to approve the rezone. Motion carried 4 – 1 with Danny Ford opposing; therefore, the recommendation is to approve the rezone. ADJOURN – A motion was made by Barbara Forester and seconded by Lisa Newberry to adjourn.
