ROLL CALL Commissioners Eric Witten, Jim Thompson, Diane L. Arnold and Ethel Powers Present: Commissioners Michael W. McCarthy Excused: Commissioners Michael Hamilton and Charles Whitehead Absent: SWEARING OF WITNESSES Chairman Thompson referred to Ordinance No. 5232, asked for all persons who planned to give testimony, to stand, raise their right hand, and they were sworn in by Elbert DuBose. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES 1 Recommendation to approve the minutes from February 11, 2019. It was moved by Vice Chairwoman Arnold and seconded by Board Member Powers to approve the minutes as submitted. CEVL254911 VACANT LOT CASE It was moved by Board Member Witten and seconded by Vice Chairwoman Arnold to accept the city's recommendation to deem the lot located at 1086 E. 19th Street, undevelopable. The motion carried unanimously. 3 CASE NO. VL002-01-19: 3015 CORTO PLACE: GEORGE E. GORDON IV, OWNER, CE CASE NO. CEVL254751 VACANT LOT CASE It was moved by Board member Witten and seconded by Board member Powers to waive all fees associated with the Vacant Lot Monitoring Program as long as the lot located at 3015 Corto Place is utilized by Public Works for storage of construction equipment. The motion carried unanimously. 4 CASE NO. 7892-02-19: 1334 GAVIOTA AVENUE: MARK A. VALDES, OWNER, CE CASE NO. CEAC254229 ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION APPEAL CASE It was moved by Board member Witten and seconded by Vice Chairwoman Arnold to conclude the case, determine that the cited party is the current owner and responsible party of the subject property located at 1334 Gaviota Avenue and the violations listed did exist on the date the citation was issued. The motion carried unanimously. 5 7893-03-19: 849 ROSE AVENUE: OMAR LEE, OWNER, CE CASE NO. CEAC250549 ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION APPEAL CASE It was moved by Board Member Witten and seconded by Vice Chairwoman Arnold to conclude the case, determine that the cited party is the current owner and responsible party of the subject property located at 849 Rose Avenue and the violations listed did exist on the date the citation was issued. BROADWAY, STE. 400 CONDEMNATION MINUTES LONG BEACH, CA 90802, 1:30 PM ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION APPEAL CASE It was moved by Board Member Witten and seconded by Vice Chairwoman Arnold to conclude the case, determine that the cited party is the current owner and responsible party of the subject property located at 700 Pine Avenue and the violations listed did exist on the date the citation was issued. It was moved by Board Member Powers and Seconded by Board Member Witten to adjourn the meeting at 2:54 pm. The motion carried unanimously.
