A motion was made by Commissioner Neal, seconded by Commissioner Austin, to approve recommendation. A motion was made by Chair Lowenthal, seconded by Commissioner Neal, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 6 - Johnson, Austin, Neal, Tanzer, Lowenthal and Garcia Absent: 4 - DeLong, O'Donnell, Schipske and Andrews see media 3. 14-0286 Recommendation to receive and file the Housing Authority Financial and Operational Performance Report for January 2014. (Citywide) A motion was made by Commissioner Neal, seconded by Chair Lowenthal, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 6 - Johnson, Austin, Neal, Tanzer, Lowenthal and Garcia Absent: 4 - DeLong, O'Donnell, Schipske and Andrews SECOND ROLL CALL (5:01 PM) Commissioners DeLong, O'Donnell, Andrews, Johnson, Austin, Neal, Tanzer, Present: Lowenthal and Garcia Commissioners Schipske Absent: 4. 14-0287 Recommendation to request full forgiveness of $2.9 million in an outstanding loan made by the City of Long Beach to the Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach, California under a Loan Agreement entered into on July 6, 2004, and forward recommendation to the City Council for consideration. A dialogue ensued between Councilmember Johnson and Darnisa Tyler, Deputy Executive Director. Councilmember Gary DeLong joined the meeting. A motion was made by Chair Lowenthal, seconded by Commissioner Neal, to approve recommendation and forward to the City Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 9 - DeLong, O'Donnell, Andrews, Johnson, Austin, Neal, Tanzer, Lowenthal and Garcia Absent: 1 - Schipske NEW BUSINESS (5:05 PM) There was no new business.
