REGULAR AGENDA (4:43 PM) 1. 19-1097 Recommendation to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach, California Special Meeting held Tuesday, October 8, 2019. OCEAN BOULEVARD THE CITY OF LONG BEACH, CIVIC CHAMBERS, 4:30 PM CALIFORNIA MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Uranga, seconded by Commissioner Price, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 9 - Price, Supernaw, Mungo, Andrews, Uranga, Austin, Hudson, Tanzer and Pearce Absent: 1 - Richardson 2. 19-1098 Recommendation to receive and file the Housing Authority Financial and Operational Performance Reports for August 2019. (Citywide) A motion was made by Commissioner Andrews, seconded by Commissioner Uranga, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 9 - Price, Supernaw, Mungo, Andrews, Uranga, Austin, Hudson, Tanzer and Pearce Absent: 1 - Richardson 3. 19-1100 Recommendation to authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute all documents necessary between Omninet Freeway, L.P., and the Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach, to lease the property at 1500 Hughes Way, Suite 100, for a period of ten years, and increasing by 3 percent annually, with the option to extend for one five-year period. (Citywide) A motion was made by Commissioner Andrews, seconded by Commissioner Austin, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 9 - Price, Supernaw, Mungo, Andrews, Uranga, Austin, Hudson, Tanzer and Pearce Absent: 1 - Richardson 4. 19-1101 Recommendation to adopt resolution authorizing the Assistant Executive Director and the Deputy Executive Director to execute all required documents, including any necessary amendments, with the Housing and Community Investment Department of Los Angeles, to Page 2 of 4 CITY OF LONG BEACH TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2019 HOUSING AUTHORITY OF 411 W. OCEAN BOULEVARD THE CITY OF LONG BEACH, CIVIC CHAMBERS, 4:30 PM CALIFORNIA MINUTES accept and expend funding in an amount not to exceed $1,250,000 to implement the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Program, for the period of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020. (Citywide) Alison King, Deputy Executive Director, spoke; and presented the staff report. A motion was made by Commissioner Andrews, seconded by Commissioner Austin, to approve recommendation and adopt Resolution No. H.A. 02-19. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 9 - Price, Supernaw, Mungo, Andrews, Uranga, Austin, Hudson, Tanzer and Pearce Absent: 1 - Richardson Enactment No: H.A. 02-19 5. 19-1102 Recommendation to adopt resolution approving a Voucher Payment Standard Schedule for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, effective January 1, 2020, for all zip code areas in Long Beach. (Citywide) Alison King, Deputy Executive Director, spoke; and presented the staff report. A motion was made by Commissioner Andrews, seconded by Commissioner Uranga, to approve recommendation and adopt Resolution No. H.A. 03-19. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 8 - Price, Supernaw, Andrews, Uranga, Austin, Hudson, Tanzer and Pearce Absent: 2 - Mungo and Richardson Enactment No: H.A. 03-19 NEW BUSINESS (4:48 PM) There was no new business.
