ROLL CALL (4:22 PM) Commissioners Supernaw, Mungo, Andrews, Uranga, Austin, Tanzer, Pearce Present: and Richardson Commissioners Zendejas, Price and Hudson Absent: Also present: Alison King, Deputy Executive Director; Gary Anderson, Principal Deputy City Attorney; Tamela Austin, City Clerk Specialist. REGULAR AGENDA (4:23 PM) 1. 20-0044 Recommendation to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach, California Special Meeting held Tuesday, December 10, 2019. OCEAN BOULEVARD THE CITY OF LONG BEACH, CIVIC CHAMBERS, 4:15 PM CALIFORNIA MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Supernaw, seconded by Vice Chair Pearce, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 8 - Supernaw, Mungo, Andrews, Uranga, Austin, Tanzer, Pearce and Richardson Absent: 3 - Zendejas, Price and Hudson 2. 20-0045 Recommendation to receive and file the Housing Authority Financial and Operational Performance Reports for October 2019. (Citywide) A motion was made by Commissioner Supernaw, seconded by Vice Chair Pearce, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 8 - Supernaw, Mungo, Andrews, Uranga, Austin, Tanzer, Pearce and Richardson Absent: 3 - Zendejas, Price and Hudson 3. 20-0046 Recommendation to authorize Executive Director, or designee, to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) advertising the availability of Project-Based Vouchers (PBV) and solicit participation in the program from interested property owners of affordable units; and Authorize Executive Director, or designee, to negotiate and execute agreement(s) to enter into Housing Assistance Payment contract(s) for PBV assistance in accordance with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines for qualified proposals submitted in response to this RFP and also approved by HUD. (Citywide) Alison King, Deputy Executive Director, spoke; and presented the staff report. Chair Richardson spoke. A motion was made by Vice Chair Pearce, seconded by Commissioner Supernaw, to approve recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 8 - Supernaw, Mungo, Andrews, Uranga, Austin, Tanzer, Pearce and Richardson Absent: 3 - Zendejas, Price and Hudson NEW BUSINESS (4:29 PM) There was no new business.
