Presentation to May 2015 Employee of the Month
Mark Januszka was recognized as Employee of the Month for the month of April 2015 for
his life saving efforts of a patron at the 2015 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Michelle Wilson recognized Kameron Talavera as employee of the month for May 2015.
Kameron's positive attitude makes her successful in any job she is assigned.

designee, to execute the Personal Services and Instruction Agreements
and amend Attachment “A” of the agreements as needed.

at Heartwell Park; the First Amendment to Fitness Provider Permit No.
33006 with Moving Forward Fitness, LLC, dba FIT4MOM Long Beach at
Heartwell and Los Cerritos Parks; and amend Attachment “A” of the
Permits as needed. (Districts 5 and 8)

Right of Entry Permit and any other necessary documents, for California
Skateparks, a California corporation, and/or its agents, to make various
improvements to Bixby and Silverado Parks, and to accept a donation of
planning, labor and materials related to the various improvements in
these parks. (Districts 2 and 7)

President Antonette appointed Commissioner Heggeness and Commissioner Sievers to the
nominating committee for election of officers at the July, 2015 Parks & Recreation
Commission meeting.

Stephen Scott provided an update on the upcoming job fair hosted by Pacific Gateway and
upcoming budget season anticipated schedule.

Meredith Reynolds spoke regarding the upcoming meeting on the Houghton Park Master
Plan.
Robert Livingstone spoke regarding upcoming remodel at Virginia Club and plans to assist
members through our golf courses.
Hurley Owens provided an update on water restriction mandates from the State.

Director Chapjian spoke and stated this meeting is his last Commission meeting. He
thanked the Commission for their service. It has been a pleasure working with the
Commission.
President Antonette presented Director Chapjian with an appreciation plaque.
President Antonette thanked Director Chapjian for his service to the City.
