EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH - November 2017
Michelle Wilson introduced Kelly Parkins. Kelly introduced her grounds team and recognized
the excellent work they do. Kelly then introduced Clemente Cerrillos as the November
Employee of the Month. Clemente combines creativity, experience, organization and energy
to do his job. He is well respected among his co-workers as a leader and mentor.
Congratulations, Clemente!

the revised Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine Fee Waiver
Policy No 3.15, effective January 1, 2018.
A motion was made by Commissioner Ursua, seconded by Vice
Chair Heggeness, to approve the recommendation. The motion
carried by the following vote:

3. 17-082PR Recommendation to approve the fee waiver requests outlined in
Attachment "A", in accordance with the Fee Waiver policy.

4. 17-083PR Authorize the Director, or his or her management designee, to execute
a new Personal Sevice Agreement for Homeland Cultural Center and
amend Attachment "A" of the agreement as needed. (District 6)
A motion was made by Commissioner Antonette, seconded by
Commissioner Morales, to approve the recommendation. The
motion carried by the following vote:

5. 17-081PR Authorize the Director of Parks, Recreation and Marine to execute any
documents necessary with the Public Corporation for the Arts Long Beach,
dba Arts Council for Long Beach, a California non-profit corporation, for the
coordination and administration of pre-approved community activities in the
East Village Arts Park,
And
Authorize the Director of Parks, Recreation and Marine to execute any
documents necessary with the Downtown Long Beach Alliance, a California
non-profit corporation, for the opening, cleaning and closing of the East
Village Arts Park. (District 2)
A motion was made by Commissioner Morales, seconded by
Commissioner Ursua, to approve the recommendation. The
motion carried by the following vote:
