ROLL CALL Deputy Director Scott took the roll call and confirmed a quorum. Although already busy in her current position, Yeselin stepped up to assist with the coordination of the Council Summer Concert Series. In addition to those 2 time consuming responsibilities during the summer she has also been asked to assist in the Contract Class office. As a part time staff her hours are limited, so working with 3 different programs requires a lot of dedication and flexibility. She not only has agreed to take on all of the responsibilities, but she taken them on successfully. This year she was also tasked with planning All City Beach Day for over 2000 youth. Employee of the Month - August 2018 Lindsay began her role as Day Camp Director at Veterans Park this past Spring and was tasked with rebuilding the Day Camp program. STUDEBAKER ROAD, 9:00 AM a “can do” attitude. With great excitement and ownership, she quickly began working on organizing and designing the Day Camp room. She worked long hours to paint beautiful signs with vibrant colors and imagery to set the tone. She knew she had to make the program space bright and inviting and that’s exactly what she did. Lindsay then began marketing the camp. Little by little pre-summer enrollment began to grow; not only had Lindsay grown the program, the kids that were coming to camp were returning, week after week. It was obvious, the kids LOVED her! There were many times over the summer where outdoor challenges presented themselves and made Lindsay’s job tougher. Even so Lindsay maintained a positive and cheerful disposition, and expected that of her team. She has shown her team that even amongst challenges, we can shine! Michelle Wilson spoke. A motion was made by Commissioner Goldberg, seconded by Commissioner Morales, to approve the resolution.
