ROLL CALL Director Mouet took the roll call and confirmed a quorum. A motion was made by Commissioner Goldberg and seconded by Vice Chair Zanatta to excuse Commissioner Morales from the November 15, 2018, Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting. Bob worked for Parks, Recreation and Marine since 2009. His official title was Superintendent of Golf Operations and Contracts, but he was also affectionately referred to as the “Chief of Stuff” for his resourcefulness and “Honey Badger” for his tenaciousness in achieving goals. In retirement, Bob plans to stay active in supporting golf, is considering adopting a rescue dog, and as he says, “Give time and resources to worthwhile causes that make the community better.” Gerardo Mouet spoke. A motion was made by Commissioner Goldberg, seconded by Commissioner Ursua, to approve the recommendation. A motion was made by Vice Chair Zanatta, seconded by Commissioner Ursua, to approve permit number16289. Vice Chair Zanatta, amended his motion to approve permit number 16289, to include corrections to the organizations application. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Ursua. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 6 - Benjamin Alan Goldberg, Mariela Salgado, Ron Sievers, Stella Ursua, David Zanatta and Julie Heggeness Excused: 1 - Margo Morales 3. 18-074PR Receive the supporting documentation into the record, conclude the hearing and recommend that the Site Plan Review Committee in the Department of Development Services approve a Wireless Telecommunication Facility within Wardlow Park, pursuant to Section 21.56.130 (B) of the Municipal Code, and recommend City Council execution of a Lease with New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (AT&T) of Atlanta, GA for said Wireless Telecommunication Facility. STUDEBAKER ROAD, 9:00 AM This PR-Agenda Item was withdrawn. 4. 18-075PR Receive the supporting documentation into the record, conclude the hearing and recommend that the Site Plan Review Committee in the Department of Development Services approve a Wireless Telecommunication Facility on an existing transmission tower operated by Southern California Edison (SCE), a California corporation, and installed by T-Mobile West, (T-Mobile), a Delaware limited liability corporation, within El Dorado East Regional Park, Area III, pursuant to Section 21.56.130 (B) of the Long Beach Municipal Code, and recommend City Council execution of a Site License Agreement with SCE, as Licensee with T-Mobile, for said Wireless Telecommunication Facility. This PR-Agenda Item was withdrawn. 5. 18-076PR Authorize the Director of Parks, Recreation and Marine to execute a Right of Entry Permit and any other documents necessary with the Public Corporation of the Arts Long Beach, dba Arts Council for Long Beach, a California non-profit corporation, to enter Peace Park for the production and maintenance of a mural on a privately-owned wall delineating the northern border of Peace Park for a term of five-years, with two, five-year options to renew at the discretion of the Director.
