CALL TO ORDER
The Parks and Recreation Commission meeting was called to order by Director Mouet at 9:01
a.m., at the El Dorado Park Senior Center.

Director Mouet took the roll call and confirmed a quorum

ELECTION OF OFFICERS - Gerardo Mouet
19-048PR Director Mouet stated the September 2019 organizational meeting
included the election of Chair and Vice Chair. As such, he called for
nominations for Chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission.
A motion was made by Commissioner Goldberg to nominate Julie
Heggeness for the position of Chair of the Parks & Recreation
Commission, seconded by Commissioner Zanatta.
There were no other nominations.
The nomination carried by the following vote:
Yes: 6 - Ron Sievers, David Zanatta, Benjamin Goldberg, Margo Morales,
Stella Ursua, and Mariela Salgado

A motion was made by Commissioner Morales to nominate David
Zanatta for the position of Vice Chair of the Parks & Recreation
Commission, seconded by Commissioner Goldberg.

The nomination carried by the following vote:

use of a 1.1-acre site in Willow Springs Park for a Conservation
Corps satellite site for an Urban Wood Recovery & Utilization
Program, for a term of five years from October 1, 2019 through
September 30, 2024, with one, five-year option to renew at the
discretion of the Director. (District 7)
