MINUTES VILLAGE OF LOS LUNAS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2017 The Board of Trustees of the Village of Los Lunas, County of Valencia, and State of New Mexico met Thursday, October 19, 2017 in regular session at 6:00 PM at the Council Chambers. Roll call was taken and the following were present: Mayor Charles Griego, Councilman Gino Romero, Councilman Christopher Ortiz and Councilman Gerard Saiz. Councilwoman Paulette Sanchez-Montoya was excused. Mayor: Charles Griego Mayor Pro Tem: Gino Romero, Excused Council: Gerard Saiz Christopher Ortiz Paulette Sanchez-Montoya Also present were: Gregory D. Martin, Martin Callahan, Ray Madrid, Winston Spencer, Paul Garcia, Sandy Schauer, Robert Anderson, Nancy Schmierbach, Len LaClair, and Deborah Fox. In accordance with Ordinance 114A, the following agenda was prepared and circulated as required: • CALL MEETING TO ORDER. • PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. • APPROVAL OF AGENDA. • PUBLIC INPUT FORUM. 1. HUNING RANCH USINESS AND TECHNOLOGY PARK AREA PLAN. 2. EXECUTIVE SESSION. A. Village Administrator Annual Review. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: a. Minutes from October 5, 2017 Council Meeting. b. Minutes from October 5, 2017 Subdivision Ordinance Revisions Workshop. 4. ADJOURNMENT. • CALL MEETING TO ORDER. At 6:00 PM, Mayor Charles Griego brought the meeting to order and welcomed the audience. • PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. Mayor Charles Griego asked Fire Chief John Gabaldon to lead the Mayor, Council and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilman Gino Romero is excused from the meeting tonight. • APPROVAL OF AGENDA. Mayor Charles Griego announced that item three would be tabled until next council meeting. Mayor Charles Griego asked for a motion from Council. APPROVAL: Motion to approve amended agenda MOVED: Councilman Saiz SECONDED: Councilman Ortiz CARRIED: Motion passed on a vote of 3 (Councilman Ortiz – yes; Councilman Saiz – yes; Councilwoman Sanchez- Montoya - yes) FOR AND 0 AGAINST. • PUBLIC INPUT FORUM. Mayor Griego asked the audience if there was anyone who wanted to speak to the Council who did not have an item on the agenda. Fire Chief John Gabaldon approached the podium – he presented three of his Firefighters who had successfully completed their year probation. 1. HUNING RANCH BUSINESS AND TECHNLOGY PARK AREA PLAN. Mayor Griego asked for a motion to adjourn as Council and open in to a public hearing. APPROVAL: Motion to approve MOVED: Councilman Ortiz SECONDED: Councilwoman Sanchez-Montoya CARRIED: Motion passed on a vote of 3 (Councilwoman Sanchez-Montoya – yes; Councilman Saiz – yes; Councilman Ortiz - yes) FOR AND 0 AGAINST. Mayor Griego asked for a motion from Council. APPROVAL: Motion to approve and adopt the findings of Planning & Zoning Commission. MOVED: Councilman Saiz SECONDED: Councilwoman Sanchez-Montoya CARRIED: Motion passed on a vote of 3 (Councilwoman Sanchez-Montoya – yes; Councilman Saiz – yes; Councilman Ortiz - yes) FOR AND 0 AGAINST. 2. EXECUTIVE SESSION. Tabled until next council meeting – November 2, 2017. 3. MINUTES. Mayor Griego asked if there were corrections or additions to the council minutes of October 5, 2017 – there was none. Martin, Village Administrator Charles Griego, Mayor  MINUTES VILLAGE OF LOS LUNAS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2017 6:08PM 1. HUNING RANCH BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY PARK AREA PLAN. Ms. Christina Ainsworth presented item one. This area plan has come before the Mayor and Council – there is a requirement in our subdivision ordinance that requires that any land that is to be subdivided, there has to be an approved area plan. There was a master plan that needed to be updated – the applicant just brought it in to show the most current alignment of projected roadways. The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval and there were no calls or letters of opposition. Mayor Griego asked if there was anyone in the audience who wanted to speak for or against the area plan – there was none. Since there are no further questions, Mayor Griego asked for a motion to close the public hearing and reconvene as a Council.
