They will be separated by grade and will walk for approximately 20 minutes each. Motion was made by Ryan Rourke to approve the request at no fee. Motion was seconded by Tom Caunter. Approved Unanimously. Item 2 – Alecia Brangan – Memorial Skate Jam Hadley Park – John M. Delehanty Skate Park Saturday, October 22, 2022 12pm-2pm Sunday, October 23, 2022 (Rain Date) 12pm-2pm Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 2 = $50 [$25 per day] (Fee Waived) This will be a memorial event for Alecia’s nephew, Nathaniel Fabian. Alecia started a GoFundme to raise funds to improve one of his favorite places, Hadley Skate Park. They just finished updating the park and a memorial bench will be installed. Alecia would like to have a “Skate Jam” to celebrate the new equipment with skate contests, and skaters showing their skills in a celebration of Nathaniel. They will also provide snacks and waters. Motion was seconded by Ryan Rourke. Approved Unanimously. Item 4 – Amy Marcus – Account Credit Request / Arts Fair A) Requesting account credit for canceled permit on October 31, 2021 for $120.00. B) Fort Hill Park – Greenspace Sunday, October 30, 2022 7am-5pm Non-Resident Adult Fee $100.00/2hr block X 5 = $500 Held to next month’s meeting. Item 5 – Delphine Kouadio (Lowell Church of Christ) – Evangelization Bourgeois Park – Basketball Court Sunday, October 16, 2022 1pm-5pm Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 2 = $50 (Fee Waived) Neighborhood evangelization with music. Page | 2 Item 7 – Ivana Dauwer – Harvest Festival North Common – Stage Saturday, October 29, 2022 9am-5pm Sunday, October 30, 2022 (Rain Date) 9am-5pm Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 8 = $200 [$100 per day] (Fee Waived) CBA and Tufts, along with the MVFB, will be partnering to provide a harvest festival to community members in the acre. There will be health care providers, food and gift card giveaways, etc. Open to all Lowell residents who would like to learn more about insurance options and healthcare benefits. Motion was made by Ryan Rourke to approve the request at no fee. Motion was seconded by Melissa Desroches. Approved Unanimously. Item 8 – Daniel Bazarian – Independent Short Film North Common – Stage Saturday, October 1, 2022 6pm-8pm Sunday, October 2, 2022 4pm-6pm Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 2 = $50 [$25 per day] The requestor did not show so the request was DECLINED. Item 9 – Mayon Mitchell (MVFFL) – Flag Football Cawley Memorial Stadium Complex – Machado Field Saturday, October 22, 2022 2pm-6pm Non-resident Adult Fee $400.00/4hr block = $400 Custodial Fee $120/4 hour = $120 Total Fee = $520 OUTSTANDING BALANCE STILL OWED = $1,000 (Usually pays towards the end of the year) Total after additional request + outstanding balance = $1,520 Mayon paid the outstanding balance on September 27, 2022. Page | 3 Item 10 – Zarais German-George – Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration Permit Time Extension North Common – Stage Saturday, October 15, 2022 7pm-9pm Saturday, October 22, 2022 (Rain Date) 7pm-9pm Additional Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 2 = $50 OUTSTANDING BALANCE STILL OWED = $440 Total after additional request + outstanding balance = $490 (Fee Waived) Latinx Community Center for Empowerment (LCCE) is looking to extend their previously approved permits from 11a-7p by 1 hour until 8p. The Board discussed waiving the balance for this event all together. They no longer need the rain date, they will move the event inside if need be. The group said their volunteers will help with clean up so they don’t have to pay a custodian fee. Shannon said they can grab the trash bags from the park Sunday morning, as long as they actually pick it up. John also said they can have until 9pm. Item 11 – Johnson Prak – Football Tournament A) Gage Field – Gage l & ll Saturday, November 12, 2022 8am-4pm Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 8 = $200 [$100 per field] B) Cawley Memorial Stadium Complex – Alumni Field Saturday, November 12, 2022 8am-4pm Resident Adult Fee $150.00/4hr block X 2 = $300 Custodial Fee $120/4 hour X 2 = $240 Total Fee = $540 C) Anne Dean Welcome Regatta Festival Field – Multipurpose Field Saturday, November 12, 2022 8am-4pm Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 4 = $100 This will be for a flag football tournament. They hope to have around 100 people including women and youth as well. They plan to bring in prepared food, but will use a charcoal grill if not. Extra trash barrels were requested and Shannon approved. Motion was made by Keith Rudy to approve the request for a fee of $100. Motion was seconded by Tom Caunter. Approved Unanimously.
