A) Releasing the (2) following dates for Northeast Baseball (Item 10E): 6/22 and 6/29, 2023. B) Releasing the (2) following dates for Lowell Junior Legion Baseball (Item 10F): 6/23 and 6/26, 2023. They received a permit for the picnic table area at Shedd Park (NOT the splash pad picnic tables by the Pavilion) for July 03, 2022 from 11am-3pm. Raisa said the area was not maintained well enough for their use and they did not use their permit. They are requesting account credit to put towards this year’s permit at Shedd Park Pavilion instead (Item B). Item 37 – Shaharyar Khan/Sabeeh Ehsan – Account Credit / Cricket Permit Extension / Fee Waiver A) Requesting account credit for the (4) dates the league was not able to play due to weather: May 6 (10hrs), May 20 (6hrs), May 21 (8hrs), and May 28 (8hrs). The total account credit would be $400. The group has made partial payment towards their permit fee, but still has an outstanding balance on their account. The Board can issue account credit towards use of a future permit or towards their outstanding balance. B) Requesting to add weekends in October to their current cricket permit. Hovey Field – Field I October 01 – October 29, 2023 (Saturdays & Sundays) 9am-5pm Resident Adult Fee $25.00/2hr block X 4 = $100 per date X 9 dates = $900 C) Requesting fee waiver for their outstanding permit fee. All together (including Item 37B), their total permit fee is $5,325. They have paid $1,000 towards that fee, making the outstanding balance $4,325. This group has worked with the Superintendent of Parks to pay for/install the cricket pitch at Hovey Field. The renovations exceeded their budget, and they’re requesting to waive the remaining balance from their account to offset the money they spent on the City park. Motion was made by Keith Rudy to approve waiving their remaining permit balance this one time due to how much the organization has spent on field renovations this year. Motion was seconded by Ryan Rourke. Approved Unanimously. Item 38 – Evan Schneider / Thany Eang – One Day Filming Production/Movie Shoot Clemente Park – Basketball Courts, but possibly other parts of the park as well Thursday, August 3, 2023 3pm-3am Non-Resident Adult Fee $100.00/2hr block X 6 = $600 This may conflict with the group that has this entire park reserved 7x a week. The Superintendent of Parks will coordinate with the group to make sure they are aware of this event, if the Board gives tentative approval for this request. Possibility of the date needing to be changed, if the Board gives permission for the Board Secretary to work with this group and issue their permit once everything is finalized. They are working with the CASE office as well. They are requesting not to have the lights turned on and to have bathrooms available for use.
