Lowell Cultural Council Meeting Minutes Sept 24, 2024 Attending: Erin Duffey (Administrator); Rona Gofstein; Beth Noel; Kshitij Karke (KK); Bethanne Welch; The meeting was called to order at 6:37 PM. 1. Extension request: Lowell Senior Center - Venue had issues throughout the year. - Organizers need to determine the event timeline, specifically which month. - Possible to carry over the grant to the next year; Erin will reach out to MCC for further clarification. - The council will decide the next steps. 2. Council Member Recruitment - Check-in from the manager’s office. - Discussion about refreshing the posting on the city website. - Inquire if there’s any additional support available for recruitment. - Information about participation will be available at the arts market. - MOSAIC may suggest potential volunteers. 3. Volunteer Fair (October 5th, 2024) - CASE and MOSAIC are hosting a volunteer fair. - Discussion about whether the cultural council will have a table at St. Ann’s, 9 AM to noon. 4. The Artisan Market (September 28th, 2024) - 29 artists have signed up. - Confirmation emails have been sent out. - Logistics information was sent out last night. - Setup between 7:30 and 8 PM; pack up at 3 PM. - Facebook event has been created. 5. Review and signature of requests for reimbursement. 6. **October Meeting** - Applications will be closed by the next meeting, and questions about the applications will be addressed then. 7. **MOSAIC Potential Workshop for Q&A about LCC** - October 2. - 1-hour evening Zoom session. 8. **Mini Art Gallery Installation at the Riverwalk (October 5th)** - This is an LCC-funded project. Meeting adjourned at 7:07 PM.
