CONSENT AGENDA: Motion by Jensen/Mueller to approve the following items as presented, all in favor – aye, carried a. Minutes from June 14, 2023 b. Checks and Vouchers for June, 2023 c. Operators Licenses: approve the following: Discussion and possible action to approve the following operator’s licenses: Ashley Tenold Natural Alternative Joseph Odendahl Dollar General Heidi Kraemer Dollar General Michelle Qualle Dollar General Thomas Marcellus Lion’s Club VI. AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES FOR VILLAGE LOAN’S: Motion by Mueller/Kruse to approve the signers for the Park Avenue Project and Cardinal Properties purchase – Sonja Jensen, President Pro-tem, Lori Pardun, Village Clerk, Laurie Cook, Village Treasurer, all in favor-Johansen abstained, all others aye, carried VII. PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE: Motion by Steen/Jensen to approve hiring Nick Mueller as a full-time public works employee beginning July 31, 2023 at a wage rate of $23.04/hour, all in favor- Nick Mueller abstained – all others aye, carried VIII. LION’S CLUB: Motion by Broten/Steen to approve a Picnic License and a Special Vendor Permit for Lucky Day’s at the Luck Ball Field on July 21 - 23, 9am – Midnight each day, all in favor – aye, carried 1|Page IX. GANDY DANCER TRAIL MARATHON, INC.: Motion by Jensen/Mueller to approve the Street Use Permit for the Gandy Dancer Trail Marathon (to be held on October 7, 2023 from 8am-2:30pm), for ½ of the Street to be closed from Main Street, from Butternut Ave. through 1st Ave. Runners will come off the Gandy Dancer Trail on Butternut Ave., turn East, then turn North on Main St. Finish line will be on Main St., all in favor – aye, carried X. NEW ASSESSOR: Motion by Broten/Steen to approve an Independent Contract for a New Village Assessor with Randy Prochnow for a 3yr term of $10,000.00/annually. Service will begin in 2024., all in favor – aye, carried XI. NORTH WESTERN MUNICIPAL AMBULANCE: Motion by Mueller/Kruse to approve the Ambulance building loan renewal, (financing currently at Bremer Bank) with Sterling Bank at a rate of 5.37% with a 5-year balloon and a 10-year amortization, all in favor – aye, carried XII. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEE CHAIRS ON THE FOLLOWING: Mike Broten Golf Comm - It’s been a good year so far at the Golf Course. Discussed possible improvements (fixing a fence), at the Luck Cemetery Lake Management – There will be a meeting in August Nick Mueller Northland Ambulance – Meeting will be Monday July 17th Sonja Jensen Library – no quorum last meeting, new meeting has been set for Monday July 17th Tourism – no meeting Kyle Johansen Finance – acted tonight Planning Comm – no meeting Felicia Pedersen Community Club – Lucky Days Beer/Food tent, 2 shifts need to be filled, still looking for volunteers. The Community Club will take over purchasing the flower baskets for Main St. going forward. Fire Dept. – no report Jerry Kruse Police – no meeting Ron Steen Public Service – no meeting Water Sewer – no meeting XIII.
