LUCK GOLF COURSE COMMISSION MEETING Wednesday January 3, 2024 – 4:00pm Luck Golf Course 1520 So. Shore Dr. Luck, WI 54853 MINUTES a. Call to Order- Mike Broten, Kevin Clunis, Marcus Wilhelm, Ron Steen, Jeff Anderson- here Mike McMahon and Bruce Anderson- absent b. Motion by Steen/J. Anderson to approve the approve the agenda, all in favor- aye, carried. c. Motion by Steen/J. Anderson to approve the minutes from 12/6/2023, all in favor- aye, carried. d. Motion by Broten/J. Anderson to approve the November Vouchers- check on the Bear Graphics charge of $274.38 (Bear Graphics is for Golf Course Checks) all in favor- aye, carried. e. Appearance by Visitors- None f. Commissioners Open Discussion- talk to Scott about plowing, goals, volunteer starter g. Financial Update- NA- putting green $23,000.00, donation of $25,000.00, upstairs ac unit $10,000.00 h. Update on the 3 Year Anniversary Memberships- #1522 i. Motion by Steen/J. Anderson to approve the process to selectively harvest trees on the 20-acre parcel “Jennings Property” and recommend to the Village Board, all in favor- aye, carried. j. Motion by J. Anderson/Steen to approve A 2 Z Construction to fix the rain shelters for ½ now and ½ when they are completed. We will wait on the siding of the  clubhouse until we get notice of material prices on the whole building. We will pay A 2 Z labor for the clubhouse and the Golf Course will pay for material, all in favor- aye, carried. k. Motion by J. Anderson/Steen to approve the beer prices for 2024 as follows: $3.50 for domestic beer, $4.50 for premium- domestic 6 pack $16.00- premium 6 pack $20.00- split 6 pack $18.00, all in favor- aye, carried. l. Motion by Steen/Broten to approve a happy hour from 3pm-6pm everyday of the week. $1.00 off can beer, $1.00 off all tap beer except Hamms and Busch Light will not be on happy hour prices. Lori Stevens will talk with the Country Club to see if they want to participate in happy hour, all in favor- aye, carried. m. No Action- will be talking to Scott Anderson, Public Works Director and recommend to the Village Board for other option on snow plowing the Golf Course. n. Clubhouse Manager Report- November $3,500.00- December $8,900.00 ($3,500 other, $1,165.00 simulator, $1,300.00 pro shop, $1,000.00 food and beverage) o. Golf Course Maintenance Update- finishing up projects- #5 stumps done, seed in spring, #15 done, #11 pond p. Set Next Meeting Date- Monday, March 25th @ 5.30pm q. Adjournment- Steen/J.
