Police - Public Protection Meeting Luck Village Hall 401 S Main St. Monday – May 6, 2024 5:30pm MINUTES I. CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Roll Call: Jerry Kruse, Sonja Jensen, Mark Beidleman- all here II. APPROVE AGENDA: Motion by Jensen/Beidleman to approve the agenda, all in favor- aye, carried. III. APPROVE MINUTES: Motion by Kruse/Jensen to approve the minutes from December 13, 2023, all in favor- aye, carried. IV. SCHOOL CONTRACT: Motion by Jensen/Beidleman to talk with Cory Hinkle at the School regarding the 2024-2025 school year contract and table it until next meeting, all in favor- aye, carried. V. POLICY AND PROCEDURES CONTRACT: Motion by Jensen/Kruse to approve the policy and procedure contract through Lexipol for $2,856.60 with state funding of $2,500.00 and recommend to the Village Board, all in favor- aye, carried. VI. HIRING A FULL-TIME OFFICER: Motion by Jensen/Beidleman to table hiring a full-time officer until the June 11th application deadline is up, all in favor- aye, carried. VII. SQUAD: Motion by Jensen/Kruse to table the purchasing of a new Squad Car until a later date, all in favor- aye, carried. VIII. RADIOS: Motion by Beidleman/Jensen to table purchasing new Radios until we get a price, thoughts are to possibly by 2 radios this year and 1 next year, all in favor- aye, carried. Page 1 of 1  IX. BALLISTIC VESTS: Motion by Jensen/Kruse to table purchasing the Ballistic Vests so Beidleman can bring it up with the Fire Department to possibly split costs with us, all in favor- aye, carried. X. HUDSON HOUSE: Motion by Beidleman/Jensen to bring this matter to the Building Inspector and/or Health Inspector and start sending ordinance citations if the ordinance is not complied with and recommend to the Village Board, all in favor- aye, carried. XI. TRANSILITONAL HOUSING ORDINANCE: Motion by Jensen/Beidleman to email our Village Attorney an Ordinance to restrict/minimize Transitional housing in the Village, and recommend to the Village Board, all in favor- aye, carried.
