Police - Public Protection Meeting Luck Village Hall 401 S Main St. Wednesday, June 12, 2024 5:00pm MINUTES I. CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Kruse called the meeting to order. Roll Call: Jerry Kruse, Sonja Jensen, Mark Beidleman- all here II. APPROVE AGENDA: Motion by Jensen/Beidleman to approve the agenda, call in favor-aye, carried. III. APPROVE MINUTES: Motion by Beidleman/Jensen to approve the minutes from May 6, 2024, all in favor-aye, carried. IV. SCHOOL CONTRACT: Motion by Jensen/Beidleman to approve the School Contract for the 2024-2025 school year to $46.50 an hour for a resource officer and recommend to the Finance Board, all in favor- aye, carried. V. TRANSPORT CALL LIST: Motion by Jensen/Beidleman to approve getting a Transport Call List together from EMS for Chapter 51 calls and recommend to the Finance Board, all in favor- aye, carried. VI. HIRING A FULL TIME OFFICER: Motion by Jensen/Beidleman to table the process of hiring a new Police Office, all in favor- aye, carried. VII. POLICE RADIOS: Motion by Jensen/Beidleman to approve the purchase of 2 new radios for a total of $12,000.00 and recommend to the Finance Board, all in favor- aye, carried. VIII. BALLISTIC VESTS: Motion by Beidleman/Kruse to approve the purchase of 4 Ballistic Vests @ $365.00 a piece with the Fire Department purchasing 2 from the Village and recommend to the Finance Board, all in favor- aye, carried. PART TIME OFFICER: Motion by Jensen/Beidleman to approve the part time officer wage to match full time officer wage effectively immediately and recommend to the Finance Board, all in favor- aye, carried. X. CHIEF UPDATE: Complaints on Golf Course parking XI. ADJOURN: Jensen/Beidleman, meeting adjourned.
