MINUTES
I. Jensen called the meeting to order.
II. ROLL CALL: Sonja Jensen, Ron Steen, Stephanie Mueller- all here
III. AGENDA: Motion by Steen/Mueller to approve the agenda- all in favor- aye,
carried.
IV.MINUTES: Motion by Jensen/Steen to approve the minutes from July 9 & 16, 2025,
all in favor- aye, carried.
V. CHECKS/VOUCHERS: Motion by Steen/Mueller to approve the checks and
vouchers for July 2024, all in favor- aye, carried.
VI. STH 48 WATERMAIN PROJECT- CHANGE ORDER #1: Motion by
Jensen/Mueller to approve the STH 48 Watermain Project Change Order #1 for
$6,231.00 and recommend to the Village Board, all in favor- aye, carried.
VII. BIG BUTTERNUT BOAT LANDING AGREEMENT: Motion by Jensen/Steen to
approve the Professional Services Agreement with MSA for the Big Butternut Boat
Landing and recommend to the Village Board, all in favor- aye, carried.
VIII. MSA HOUSING PROGRAM: Motion by Jensen/Steen to approve MSA for
an annual fee of $2,000 to continue administering the Village of Luck’s
discontinued CDBG small cities RLF Housing Program and recommend to the
Village Board, all in favor- aye, carried.
IX. PART TIME OFFICER HOURS: Tabled by Police Protection Committee until
Budget Preparation- increasing Part-Time Officer Hours for 2026 until budget
preparation. (additional 52 days- Saturday/Sunday day shifts- approximately
$14,000.00 / year).
X. HWY 48 PROJECT WEEKEND STAFFING HOURS: Denied by Police Protection
Committee- increasing the weekend staffing hours on the weekends during the HWY
48 Construction Project.
XI.CAMERAS: Tabled by Police Protection Committee until Budget Preparation-
purchase cameras (2 options below).
1. Motorola cameras- $32,488.00 for 5 years- 2 cameras
2. Flock cameras- $3,000.00 per camera- would like 3 total cameras- Install
$950.00 for 3 cameras
I. 1 SQUAD RAIO: Tabled by Police Protection Committee until Budget
Preparation- purchase of 1 Squad Car Radio for an estimate of $6,500.00,
recommended by the Police Protection Committee.
II. LAND DONATION BY DARRELL RUBEL: Motion by Jensen/Mueller to deny
the land donation of parcel # 146-00472-0000 to the Village from Darrell Rubel
(owner of Sterling Bank) due to the additional expenses it would take to maintain
the property, all in favor- aye, carried.
III. ADJOURN: Jensen/Mueller- meeting adjourned.
