ORDINANCE 2014-05 FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MADEIRA BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE MILLAGE RATE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2015; PROVIDING AND ANNOUNCING THE NAME OF THE TAXING AUTHORITY; THE ROLLED-BACK RATE; THE PERCENTAGE INCREASE OVER THE ROLLED BACK RATE; AND THE FINAL ADOPTED MILLAGE RATE; BY PROVIDING FOR READING IN ITS ENTIRETY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. REPORTS/CORRESPONDENCE • CITY COMMISSION 2 I BOC Budget Meeting - 09/04/2014 Commissioner Shontz: Wanted to remind everyone that the 9/11 Fund raiser "A Toss to Remember" will th be held this Saturday on September 6 • Commissioners Shontz and Poe will be playing in a team Mayor Palladeno: Funds go to an ovarian cancer charity. The weigh in will also be on Saturday, th September 6 • th Commissioner Shontz: Also wanted to mention that on September 11 , there will be a 9/11 Memorial Dedication Ceremony starting at 10:00 a.m. She invites any and all who wish to attend. • CITY ATTORNEY • CITY MANAGER CM: Wanted to introduce Pat Krager as the new Code Enforcement Officer. Also noted that the regularly schedule BOC meeting for November falls on Veteran's Day and he th suggested moving it to the next day, Wednesday, November 12 • Also informed the Board that staff does not have anything major for the September Workshop and unless the Board has any pressing issues he asked if they would forgo a workshop meeting this month. The Board agreed and also didn't have any major issues to discuss. It was decided that the time will be used for staff to catch up on work. • CITYCLERK K.
