NEW BUSINESS Recommendation to the Board of CommlulonllS Regarding the Minimum Building Site ArN Requirements per Seetlon 11G-380 of the City of Madeira Beach Code of Ordinances rwlatlng to P-SP, Publlc-Seml Public Lend (City Hall I Fire Station I Recreation Complex located at 300 Munlclpal DJtve) Commissioner Poe made tht motion to approve the recommendation made by the Planning Commission and wu seconded by Commissioner Shontz. Nothing caused any Issues and that Is what prompted a unanimous vote. - He responded to a "'9Slion by Commissioner Shontz r9gantlng 1he nature of the clscusslons. Mr. Ewntt stalBd that most of the discussions were about use of lhe land, the work being done, what would be hosl8d at 1he ball field. The architect and the engineering finn answered all of the questions posed by the Planning Commission in a satisfacblry manner. Lynn Rosetti CDD: This sel8 1he stage for lhe Iii& plan review, the requirements, Md establlBhas 1he aetbacks. This plan is doesn't encroach on any other properties, specifically the Ubrary. Dimensions and encroachments are fine and the closest aspect of lhe building is lhe Chambers, which will be 8 feet from 1he seawall. The 1811: of the buildlng ranges from 80-100 feet FNlay from lhe seawall. Fur1hermore, there isn't anything In the City Code 1hat specifies 1he distance from lhe seawall on Publio-Seml Public Land. The Fire Station will be 2.1 faet from the Llbnry Lease line, but It will still be part of lhe same complex and wlll have separation. There Is going to be more parking (currently 126 apots and after completion !here will be 186). The floor area ratio and the impervious surface ratio are well in-line wi'th City-wide standards. They also looked at lhe C3 and the R3 and the construction will be leas intanse at this site as compnd to 1he other projecls. Ifs still in the overall site plan Md 1hat information was derlvad from what was in 1he Library Sita plan as well. Vice-Mayor Lislr. Asked about the Terracing of the Dirt on the Ball Fields. He doesn't want 1hem to be underwater. CDD doesn't kl'IO\li exactly n will make a nolB. Ha knows that will be the lowest poln~ but still doesn't want that to be soaked/llooded. COD infDnned the BOC that lhara will be baller drainage at this allB. This whole site will be looked at from engineering, planning & zo~, and bulking stand points when 1hey look inm it fur1her. This meeting just se1B the dlmenaional requirananlB for lhe location. The detans will continue to be worked out and lhe archltacts know about flood one requirements and the builders understand how to build in a flood plain.
