City Council

City Council Meeting Monday, January 25, 2016 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were; Andy Gappa, Dave Whitney and John Nelson with Larry Schickling absent. A Motion was made by John Nelson and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve the agenda. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Dave Whitney and John Nelson, motion was approved with Larry Schickling absent. A Motion was made by John Nelson and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve the minutes of the January 11, 2016 City Council Meeting. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Dave Whitney and John Nelson, motion was approved with Larry Schickling absent. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve the bills as listed. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, Dave Whitney and John Nelson, motion was approved with Larry Schickling absent. A Motion was made by John Nelson and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve Contracting with Realty Executives ; Pat Hruby, for the sale of the lots at Riverview Heights for a term of one year, January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016. Some of the available lots are in a TIF District, the Council asked City Attorney, Wade Abed to look into the possibility of decertifying these lots. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, John Nelson and Dave Whitney, motion was approved with Larry Schickling absent. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve advertising for the position of Madelia Swimming Pool Manager who would supervise the day-to-day operations of the City Swimming Pool. . Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, John Nelson and Dave Whitney, motion was approved with Larry Schickling absent. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Dave Whitney to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor of said motion, Mike Grote, Andy Gappa, John Nelson and Dave Whitney. Voting against none, motion carried with Larry Schickling absent.
