City Council Meeting
Monday, June 8, 2020
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote via phone conference. Those in
attendance were; Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Andy Gappa, Larry Schickling and Dave
Whitney.

A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve the
Consent Items with an additional item to the agenda. Additional item is SCDP Loan
Consent to Transfer. Voting in favor of said motion by roll call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody
Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was
approved.
A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve
Resolution 2020-10 – A resolution approving plans and specifications and ordering
advertisement for bids for the 2020 Street & Utility Improvements. Voting in favor of
said motion by roll call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave
Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved.
A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve
purchasing a 1994 Chevy Kodiak Tanker for $15,000.00 from the Fire Equipment Fund
from the City of Kasota. Voting in favor of said motion by roll call; Mike Grote-Yes,
Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes.
Motion was approved.
A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve City
of Lewisville Wastewater and Water Facilities Operation Assistance. Voting in favor of
said motion by roll call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave
Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved.
A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve
temporary permit of business operations due to Covid-19 for Lost Sanity at 21 Center
Avenue for June 8, 2020 to November 1st, 2020. Voting in favor of said motion by roll
call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry
Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved.
A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve
temporary liquor license for Lost Sanity at 21 Center Avenue for June 8, 2020 to
November 1st, 2020. Temporary Liquor License was approved at the beginning of the
year for Park Days only. Voting in favor of said motion by roll call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody
Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was
approved.
A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to approve
entertainment on June 19th, 2020 for Lost Sanity at 21 Center Avenue. Voting in favor of
said motion by roll call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave
Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved.
A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve curb cut
at Lots 14-15 of Block 1 of Railroad Addition (Forstners old paint building) for Tom
Kunz. Ben Lehman, Street Department has approved. Voting in favor of said motion by
roll call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes,
Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved.
A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve Aaron
Kuennen SCDP Loan Consent to Transfer. Voting in favor of said motion by roll call;
Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry
Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved.
With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Larry Schickling
and seconded by Andy Gappa to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor of said motion by
roll call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes and
Dave Whitney-Yes. Motion was approved.
