City Council Meeting Monday, June 22, 2020 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote via phone conference. Those in attendance were; Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Andy Gappa, Larry Schickling and Dave Whitney. Roll call being taken: Mike Grote David Whitney Cody Eager Andy Gappa Larry Schickling Chris Fischer Chris Paul Chief Prescher Heather Thomas – Times Messager A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve the Consent Items with an additional item to the agenda. Voting in favor of said motion by roll call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Cody Eager to approve Resolution 2020-11 – A resolution adopting COVID-19 Preparedness Plan for the City of Madelia. Voting in favor of said motion by roll call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager- Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Larry Schickling and seconded by Andy Gappa to call a Public Hearing on July 13th, 2020 for the first reading of Ordinance 114 Food Trucks and Mobile Food Vendors. Voting in favor of said motion by roll call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Larry Schickling to approve waving the assessments totaling $17,901.00 on Parcel 17.580.0300. Voting in favor of said motion by roll call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve a blanket request for entertainment on the outside patio located at 21 Center Avenue from Lost Sanity until July 13th, 2020 and call a Public Hearing on July 13th, 2020 to allow the neighbors to comment on their request. At this Public Hearing it will be discussed to continue the blanket request. Voting in favor of said motion by roll call; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes and Dave Whitney-Yes, Larry Schickling-Yes. Motion was approved. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Larry Schickling to adjourn the meeting.
