City Council Meeting Monday, February 14, 2022 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Dave Whitney and Glen Christensen. A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve Pay Request #5 from Maguire Iron in the amount of $52,250.00 for the Water Tower Project. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve the 2022 Road Closures: Memorial Day Parade – May 30th Annual Block Party – June 13th (addition is a part of center from the corner of Main to the alley for dunk tank) Park Days Parade – July 8th – Parade Route being discussed due to Hwy 15/60 detour Madelia Community Hospital Run – July 9th Fire Prevention Week – October 9 -October 15 Homecoming Parade Razzle Dazzle Parade – November 18th Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Glen Christensen-Yes, Dave Whitney- Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve Certificate for Payment from PHLAG Holdings LLC in the amount of $215,538.00 for the Government Center Project.
