City Council Meeting Monday, May 9, 2022 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Andrew Gappa and Glen Christensen. Due to the need for bulk water for the current road projects around Madelia (Hwy 15/60). The Water Department will be purchasing a flow meter. The Council will need to approve establishing a bulk water rate and service rate. The proposed bulk water rate is $5.00 per 1000 gallons and $15.00 service rate (per time or per month). Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. Dave Whitney was absent. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve the Pay Request #8 to Maguire Iron in the amount of $19,000. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes and Cody Eager- Yes. Motion was approved. Dave Whitney was absent. A Motion was made by Glen Christensen and seconded by Cody Eager to approve Pay Request #14 to Staab Construction in the amount of $10,871.77. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes and Cody Eager- Yes. Motion was approved.
