City Council Meeting Monday, July 25, 2022 7:00p.m. Fire Hall Basement The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Andrew Gappa, Dave Whitney and Glen Christensen. Others presented were Chris Fischer, Patrick Casey, Chief Prescher, Heather Utz and Jim Pettersen. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve the Consent Items with additional items to the agenda: 2. Discuss and take appropriate action on purchasing 2 patrol car radios at $5,500.00 each and taking the money from Police Capital. 3 Discuss and take appropriate action on requesting 3 quotes for police squad cars. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Glen Christensen-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve Pay Request No. 9 from PHLAG Holdings LLC in the amount of $191,350.00 Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Glen Christensen-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve purchasing 2 encryption capable radios for $11,000.00. This will be taken out of the Police Capital Fund. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve Chief Prescher to receive 3 quotes for 2 new squad cars. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve Chief Prescher to acquire quotes for a new squad car. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Dave Whitney to adjourn the meeting.
