City Council Meeting Monday, August 22, 2022 7:00p.m. Fire Hall Basement The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Andrew Gappa, Dave Whitney and Glen Christensen. Others presented were Chris Fischer, Chief Prescher, Heather Utz, Jim Pettersen, Mark Slater and Michelle VanHee. A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve the Consent Items. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve Pay Request No. 16 in the amount of $37,840.00 to Staab Construction for the Wastewater Chemical Building. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. Dave Whitney abstained. A Motion was made by Glen Christensen and seconded by Cody Eager to approve the seeding quote from Total Lawn Care in the amount of $15,000.00 for the new Campground unless second bid is lower. Second bid has not been received yet. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Dave Whitney to approve scheduling the Tabled Public Hearing for the Vacation of Gage Avenue to September 12th at 6:00p.m. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve scheduling a EDA Public Hearing for the Land Sale of Parcel ID 17.478.0100. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Cody Eager to adjourn the meeting.
