City Council Meeting Monday, September 26, 2022 7:00p.m. Fire Hall Basement The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike Grote. Those in attendance were Mike Grote, Cody Eager, Andrew Gappa, David Whitney and Glen Christensen. Others presented were Chris Fischer, Chief Prescher, Heather Utz, Jim Pettersen, Mark Slater, Leah Kirchner, Mark Hoeft, Phyllis Schickling, Mark Christenson, Jan Christenson, Jay Christenson, Siliva Garica, Jose Bricho, Jose Garcia, Curtis Eidhammer, Karen Abbott, Jicon Rico, Dan Hawkes and Michelle VanHee. A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve the Consent Items with the following additional items to the agenda: 3. This is a 10.4% increase in the General Fund and 6.66% increase in the Debt Service. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Glen Christensen-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve setting Public Workshop Budget and Levy Session for Monday, December 12, 2022 at 6:00p.m. This meeting is being set to be held in the New Government Center Council Chambers. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes, David Whitney - Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve setting Truth and Taxation Public Hearing for Monday, December 12, 2022 at 6:00p.m. This meeting is being set to be held in the New Government Center Council Chambers. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes, David Whitney - Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Dave Whitney and seconded by Glen Christensen to approve agreement with Northland to start a TIF for old City Hall/ Fire Station/Police Station property with Pietsch Companies. The TIF will be for utilities and demo/clearance of redevelopment. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Cody Eager to approve allowing Dan Hawkes host music on Alliance Bank property for the month of October 2022. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Glen Christensen- Yes, Dave Whitney-Yes and Cody Eager-Yes. Motion was approved. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Cody Eager and seconded by Glen Christensen to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor of said motion; Mike Grote-Yes, Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Dave Whitney - Yes and Glen Christensen-Yes. Motion was approved.
