City Council Meeting Monday, September 25, 2023 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Cody Eager. Those in attendance were Cody Eager, Andy Gappa, Mark Slater, Glen Christensen (via Teams Meeting) and Phyllis Schickling. A Motion was made by Mark Slater and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve Resolution 2023-17 Joint Powers Agreement between Watonwan County and City of Madelia for Center Avenue Project. Voting in favor of said motion; Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Phyllis Schickling-Yes, Glen Christensen-Yes and Mark Slater - Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Glen Christensen and seconded by Andy Gappa to approve Main Street Road Closure for October 6th, 2023 for Madelia School Homecoming parade. Voting in favor of said motion; Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa-Yes, Phyllis Schickling-Yes, Glen Christensen-Yes and Mark Slater - Yes. Motion was approved. A Motion was made by Andy Gappa and seconded by Phyllis Schickling to approve Pay Request #1 for Greystone Construction for the Golf Course Event Structure in the amount of $153,810.00. Voting in favor of said motion; Cody Eager-Yes, Andy Gappa- Yes, Phyllis Schickling-Yes, Glen Christensen-Yes and Mark Slater - Yes. Motion was approved. Representative Olson was present to discuss wrapping up the legislative session. With no further business before the Council, A Motion was made by Phyllis Schickling and seconded by Mark Slater to adjourn the meeting.
