CALL TO ORDER At 6:03pm by Chair. ROLL CALL Present: Chair Paige Szymanski Nickole Fox Syed Murtaza Council Representative Alternate Quinn Wright Ex-officio, Substitute Staff Liaison Vanessa Verdun-Morris Not present: Rebecca Chambliss Council Representative Emily Rohrbach ADDITIONS/DELETIONS APPROVAL OF MINUTES. Special meeting. No minutes to approve. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC REPORTS UNFINISHED BUSINESS 1. Motorama and Smoke Event Motion by Syed Murtaza, and second by Nickole Fox to approve June 22, 2023 proposal of Car Show and RibBurn, also known as Motorama and Smoke. Unanimously approved. Following approval, committee members discussed the logistics of the Motorama event and minimal costs associated with event. Cost at present includes the coal receptacle for city safety. The goal is to have zero-cost to city by having all costs covered by donations. The HREC is excited to collaborate with the Madison District Public Schools by bringing a community event to the south side of Madison Heights.
