Open Space, Recreation and Historic Preservation Advisory Committee MINUTES Wednesday, January 8, 2020 NEXT MEETING: February 12, 2020, 7:30 pm in the Committee Room at Hartley Dodge Memorial Building. Please notify Melissa if unable to attend. PRESENT: M. Honohan, A. Baillie, J. Rhodes, L. Ellis, D. Mantone, G. Limbach GUEST: Barbara Heskins-Davis I. Call to Order at 7:30 pm by A. Baillie II. Appointment of 2020 Open Space Chair – L. Ellis nominated M. Honohan to serve as Chair for 2020. J. Rhodes second – elected unanimously. Appointment of 2020 Open Space Secretary – Effective February 2020, Christine Boyle will serve as Open Space Secretary upon her formal appointment as Public Representative for the Committee. III. Approval of the October 2019 and November 2019 Minutes: a. Motion to approve October 2019 Minutes, with amendments, made by L. Ellis, Second G. Limbach, passed unanimously. b. Motion to approve November 2019 Minutes made by J. Rhodes with a Second by D. Mantone, passed unanimously. IV. Barbara Heskins-Davis presented the final draft of the Borough of Madison Open Space and Recreation Plan Update to the Committee. An overview of the maps and sections with changes was shared. The Committee provided minimal edits. The draft plan will be shared with the Planning Board, and representative Committees, simultaneously with the goal of being on the Planning Board agenda within the next two months. V. Executive Session VI. New Business: The Committee will invite Jim Burnet, CFO and Assistant Borough Administrator to the February 2020 meeting of Open Space and Tom Salaki will be invited to give a Parks presentation as a point of information at the March 2020 meeting. 8:25 pm meeting adjourned Respectfully submitted, Melissa Honohan
