Historic District Vogue Theatre Review Committee Council Chambers, City Hall December 2, 2010 3:00 pm Members Present: Teena Kracht, John Perschbacher, Steve Harold (Consultant) Others Present: Jon Rose (Community Development Director), Denise Blakeslee (Planning & Zoning), Travis Alden (DDA/Main Street Director) and others Travis Alden, DDA/Main Street Director - Mr. Alden presented a proposal from NRWS for the Vogue Theatre Facade Stabilization. Mr. Alden spoke to the sub-committee about the proposed work and his discussion with Dan Schneider at SHPO. After discussion with SHPO and review of the cost the bid from NRWS was lower in cost and would have a waterproof masonry coating applied. This coating would not interfere with restoration work in the future. Steve Harold and Jon Rose both supported the proposal and noted that it was a perfect cost effective temporary fix. John Perschbacher wanted assurance that this temporary fix would not interfere with future restoration. Mr. Alden said that NRWS assured him that was the case and SHPO also endorsed the proposal. The Sub-committee endorsed the proposal. Mr. Alden spoke about the bids received for the roof.
