HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION Council Chambers, City Hall 70 Maple Street Manistee, MI 49660 MEETING MINUTES January 6, 2011 A Meeting of the Manistee City Historic District Commission was held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 70 Maple Street, Manistee, Michigan. Meeting was called to order at 3:07 p.m. by Chair Kracht. ROLL CALL: Members Present: Dave Carlson, Maria DeRee, Teena Kracht, Nathaniel Neider, John Perschbacher Members Absent: T. Eftaxiadis (excused) Others: Jon Rose (Community Development), Mark Fedder (Manistee County Historical Museum), Steve Harold (Manistee County Historical Museum) and Travis Alden (DDA/Main Street Director) Recording Secretary Denise Blakeslee was absent due to illness, Jon Rose took the meeting minutes in her absence. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: MOTION by Dave Carlson, seconded by John Perschbacher that the Agenda for the January 6, 2011 Meeting be approved. With a voice vote this motion passed unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: MOTION by John Perschbacher, seconded by Maria DeRee that the Minutes of the December 2, 2010 Meeting be approved. With a voice vote this motion passed unanimously. City of Manistee Historic District Commission Meeting Minutes of January 6, 2011 Page 2 NEW BUSINESS: By Law Review According to the By-Laws of the City of Manistee Historic District Commission shall annually review their By-Laws at the regularly scheduled meeting in January. Motion by John Perschbacher, seconded by Maria DeRee that the Historic District Commission By-Laws be maintained as written. With a roll call vote this motion passed 5 to 0. Yes: Carlson, Neider, DeRee, Perschbacher, Kracht No: None OLD BUSINESS None PUBLIC COMMENTS AND COMMUNICATIONS CONCERNING ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA Commissioner Perschbacher raised the desire that during the Ramsdell Theatre HVAC Project the radiators should not be removed, but retained for Historical Purposes. CORRESPONDENCE None STAFF REPORTS Travis Alden, DDA/Main Street Director reported that MSDDA hld a day long strategy session. Steve Harold - On December 14, 2010 approved Window Signage for Solar Eclipse Tanning LLC, 355 River Street.
