MANISTEE AREA PEG COMNIISSION MEETING NIINUTES October 28,2004 A regular scheduled meeting of the Manistee Area PEG Commission was held on Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. in the administrative conference room at Manistee High School, 525 Twelfth Street, Manistee, Michigan. MEMBERS PRESENT: J. Mencarelli, J. Ball,L.Trucks, M.Tillotson, N.Leslie, K.Fenstermacher, I.Hayden MEMBERS ABSENT: OTHERS PRESENT: S. Scrimger, K.Brown, K.Tillotson There was a motion by Trucks, seconded by Leslie to accept the agenda as printed. Motion passed 7-0 There was a motion by Ball, seconded by Leslie to accept the minutes of the September 15, 2004 meeting. Motion passed 7- 0 Executive Director Brown presented his report of activiti.es. There was a motion by Leslie, seconded by Trucks to approve purchase of a camera and accessories 1000 not to exceed $ Motion passed 7-0 There was a motion by Tillotson, seconded by Fenstermacher to direct Scri.mger to forward the letter from Varnum and associates to the city attomey for his recommendation. Motion passed 7-0 Mencarelli presented two ta.pes with content in apparent violation of FCC and PEG rules that had been produced by Mike Tillotson. He stated that there have been several past violations of FCC or PEG rules by this programmer and sought direction from the commission as to the appropriate course of action. There was a motion by Fenstermacher, seconded by Hayden to sanction Mr. Tillotson and withhold airing privileges until the issue has been reviewed by the city attorney. Motion passed 4- 3 It was agreed to hold the neart meeting in the administrative conference room at Manistee High School on Twelfth Street. The date for the next meeting was set for November 17, 2004. There was a motion by Fenstermacher, seconded by Leslie to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:30 p. m..
