MEMBERS PRESENT: Freeburg, Trucks, Kruse, Sandstedt, Zaring,Wrzesinski MEMBERS ABSENT: Ervin OTHERS PRESENT: K.Brown Chairman Trucks called the meeting to order at 6: 30 p. m. There was a motion by Kruse, supported by Freeburg to approve the agenda as presented. Motion passed 6- 0 T'here was a motion by Kruse, supported by Zaring,to approve the minutes of the July 9,2007 meeting. Motion passed 6- 0 Executive Director Brown reported on the activities of MPA-TV for the months of 7uly and August. Brown continues to look for ways to expand the signal to Kaleva, Wellston and Brethren via the ISD's new fiber optic network. He also reported that Manistee Tire donated $250 as a programming sponsor and MPA-TV is continually seeking support from other local businesses. Brown also updated the Commission about the new camera that recently arrived as well as other technical issues related to MPA- TV. Under New Business: A policy for equipment distribution and disposal was presented to the Commission for consideration. A motion was made by Freeburg, supported by Kruse to adopt the policy as written. could Discussion followed. Brown indicated that there are numerous pieces of equipment that MPA-TV dispose of or liquidate. Motion passed 6- 0 falls Other New Business: Trucks pointed out that the responsibility for the programrning on MPA-TV on- a ir disclaimer will be changed to reflect on the PEG Commission and not the Executive Director. The Commission discussed upcoming events that would be worthy of taping for possible air, including an emergency preparednessexercise, League of Women Voters Forum and the Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. The next meeting date was set for Monday, November 12, 2007 at 6: m. in the conference room at 30 p. Manistee High School.
