City of Manistee Parks Commission November 2015 Minutes I Meeting called to Order at 6:34 p.m. All members except for Danielle Wilkosz who had to resign from Commission for personal reasons were in attendance. II Approval of Minutes from October 2015 ( 6 yea 0 nay ) III Presentation by Morton Park Improvement Sub-Committee Lengthy discussion about how to precede and what to present to City Council as our recommended proposal. No consensus was established and it was decided a work session was required to finalize a recommendation to Council. A Dec 3,2015 work session was scheduled with the sole purpose of finalizing our proposal for Morton Park Improvements. IV Question was asked if the Phragmities had been treated in Man-Made Lake. Jeff was unsure of answer but thought they had been sprayed. Need to know for sure! V Question was asked how much money was spent at 5th Ave beach for new sidewalk and what was the remaining balance. Jeff stated that all the invoices were not in yet and those numbers were not yet available. VI Jeff updated the commission on the status of the needed Riverwalk Repairs, Lighthouse Park repairs, and the 5th Ave Concessions for 2016 VII Commission established meeting schedule for 2016 Third Thurs of the month at 6:30 p.m. 2nd floor City Hall (NO DEC MEETING) Adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
