Roll Call Present: 7- McMeans, Able, Hennessey, Brey, Sitkiewitz, Nickels and Shaw Absent: 4- Howe, Sladky, Soeldner and Schema Alderperson Dave Soeldner arrived at 5:01 p.m. Alderperson Jason Sladky arrived at 5:10 p.m. Alderperson Allan Schema arrived at 5:22 p.m. 3. Discussion and Action Items Present: 8- McMeans, Able, Hennessey, Brey, Sitkiewitz, Soeldner, Nickels and Shaw Absent: 3- Howe, Sladky and Schema 14-1405 Memo from City Attorney Kathleen McDaniel on 2013 Hail Damage insurance payments Moved by Brey, seconded by Hennessey, that this Action Item be approved with City Attorney to draft resolution. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 8- McMeans, Able, Hennessey, Brey, Sitkiewitz, Soeldner, Nickels and Shaw Present: 9- McMeans, Able, Hennessey, Sladky, Brey, Sitkiewitz, Soeldner, Nickels and Shaw Absent: 2- Howe and Schema Discussion on BWWI LLC Liquor License No. 61 Moved by Nickels, seconded by Brey, that the liquor license be granted to BWWI LLC with City Attorney to negotiate terms of payment plan agreement for 7/21/14 Council meeting. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 9- McMeans, Able, Hennessey, Sladky, Brey, Sitkiewitz, Soeldner, Nickels and Shaw City Attorney Kathleen McDaniel and Finance Director Steve Corbeille addressed the Committee outlining the debts owed to the City and advising that a $17,388.30 check was received today. City of Manitowoc Page 1 Committee of the Whole Meeting Minutes June 30, 2014 14-1407 Notice is hereby given that the above governmental body will adjourn to a closed session during the meeting as authorized by Section 19.85(1)(g) of the Wisconsin Statutes, which authorizes the governmental body to convene in closed session for the purpose of conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved. The specific matter which will be considered in the closed session is update on Newton Gravel Pit from City Attorney and Director of Public Infrastructure. Chairperson McMeans read the Notice to go into Closed Session. Moved by Able, seconded by Hennessey, to convene in closed session. The motion carried on roll call vote by the following vote: Aye: 9- McMeans, Able, Hennessey, Sladky, Brey, Sitkiewitz, Soeldner, Nickels and Shaw CONVENE IN CLOSED SESSION Present: 10 - McMeans, Able, Hennessey, Sladky, Brey, Sitkiewitz, Soeldner, Schema, Nickels and Shaw Absent: 1- Howe 14-1406 Update on Newton Gravel Pit from City Attorney and Director of Public Infrastructure. Committee of the Whole deliberated in Closed Session. (Redacted - - Closed Session) Moved by Nickels, seconded by Sladky, to reconvene in Open Session. Motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 10 - McMeans, Able, Hennessey, Sladky, Brey, Sitkiewitz, Soeldner, Schema, Nickels and Shaw RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION 4.
