Call to Order 2. Roll Call Present: 10 - Sitkiewitz, Nickels, Czekala, Brey, Schlei, Vanderkin, Beeman, Cummings, Boldt and Reckelberg Absent: 1- Brunner 3. Public Comment Council President Czekala declared the meeting open for public input. In accordance with policy, the public input portion of the meeting is not made a part of the official record. 4. Discussion and Action Items Alderman Brunner joined the meeting at 5:23 p.m. Present: 11 - Sitkiewitz, Nickels, Czekala, Brey, Schlei, Vanderkin, Brunner, Beeman, Cummings, Boldt and Reckelberg 21-0553 Discussion on the reconfiguration of 8th Street and 10th Street City Planner - Business & Housing Development Nick Mueller gave a presentation outlining the potential change of 8th & 10th Streets from one-way to two-way. Committee asked questions from City staff; no action at this meeting. Committee of the Whole will revisit this item in July 2021, with possible Council action at the August Common Council meeting. Alderman Brunner left the meeting at 6:19 p.m. Present: 10 - Sitkiewitz, Nickels, Czekala, Brey, Schlei, Vanderkin, Beeman, Cummings, Boldt and Reckelberg Absent: 1- Brunner City of Manitowoc Page 1 Committee of the Whole Meeting Minutes June 21, 2021 Council President Czekala read the notice to convene in closed session: Notice is hereby given that the above governmental body may adjourn into a closed session during the meeting as authorized by Section 19.85(1)(g) of the Wisconsin Statutes, which authorizes the governmental body to convene in closed session for the purpose of conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved. The specific subject matter that may be considered in closed session is: 21-0554 Discussion on Manitowoc Public Utilities Coal Pile Notice is hereby given that the above governmental body may adjourn into a closed session during the meeting as authorized by Section 19.85(1)(e) of the Wisconsin Statutes, which authorizes the governmental body to convene in closed session for the purpose of deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session. The specific subject matter that may be considered in closed session is: 21-0555 Discussion and Possible Action on the Sale of Property Located at 4221 Calumet Ave 5. Closed Session Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Brey, to convene in closed session. This meeting is being conducted both in Council Chambers at City Hall and via Zoom to maximize opportunities for residents to attend.
