1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Lee Thennes at 4:01 p.m.
Others present: Stoeger and Davis
Present: 3- Hunter, Schroderus and Thennes
Absent: 1- Neuenfeldt
2. Public Comment
Members of the public will be permitted to speak at the Manitowoc Public Library Personnel
Committee meeting on any matter of public interest. The comments from each speaker shall be
limited to five minutes in length unless extended by action of the Manitowoc Public Library Board of
Trustees.
3. Convene in Closed Session
Moved by Schroderus, seconded by Hunter, to convene in closed session at 4:06
p.m. The motion carried with a roll call vote:
Aye: 3- Hunter, Schroderus and Thennes
Notice is hereby given that the above governmental body may adjourn into a closed session during
the meeting as authorized by Section 19.85(1)(c) of the Wisconsin Statutes, which authorizes the
governmental body to convene in closed session for the purpose of considering employment,
promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the
governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. The specific subject matter that may
be considered in closed session is the following:
a. Library Director Performance Evaluation and 2019 Goal Setting
(No minutes taken for Closed Session portion)
4. Reconvene in Open Session
Moved by Hunter, seconded by Schroderus, to reconvene in open session at 4:44
p.m. The motion carried with a roll call vote:
Aye: 3- Hunter, Schroderus and Thennes
19-0027 a. Possible action on Closed Session subject matter
Committee will bring Performance Evaluation to full Board at the Regular

Monthly meeting on 1/28/19, for review. Library Director will develop ideas
for 2019 goals, to also be presented at this meeting.
No Action taken.
5. Adjournment
A motion was made by Schroderus, seconded by Hunter, to adjourn at 4:45 p.m.

Pursuant to Section 19.84 (2) and (3) of the Wisconsin Statutes, notice is hereby
given to the public, to the Herald-Times-Reporter, the official newspaper of the
City of Manitowoc, and to those news media who have filed a written request for
this notice that a meeting of the MANITOWOC PUBLIC LIBRARY PERSONNEL
COMMITTEE of the City of Manitowoc will be held on the date, time, and location
listed above.
The above governmental body will meet to discuss and possibly take action on
the agenda items set forth below.
