15-866 Public Safety Minutes July 27th, 2015
Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Sladky, that these Minutes be accepted. The
motion carried by the following vote:

Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Sladky, that this Report be accepted and
placed on file. The motion carried by the following vote:

15-921 August, 2015 Police Monthly Report
Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Sladky, that this Report be accepted and
placed on file. The motion carried by the following vote:

6. Discussion and Action Items
15-86 Communication from Valerie Powers-Klein requesting the return of the 2 hour
parking in front of Shooter Malone's at 901 Buffalo Street.
Committee discussion to hold until October meeting when committee will recei ve an
update from the Engineering Dept. on the proposed downtown parking lot.
15-865 Communication from Paul B Hansen regarding Semi Truck traffic on Huron
Street/Michigan Avenue.
Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Sladky, that this Communication will be
discussed at the October meeting when Engineering Dept. will update on truck
routes and signage. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky
15-867 Communication between Police Chief Dick and Gerard Neuser regarding prior
document 15-521 requesting handicap parking on Jay Street for Human
Services Clients.
Moved by Sladky, seconded by Sitkiewitz, that this Communication be approved
to add 2 Handicap parking stalls with the approval of the Engineering Dept. and
City Attorney. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky
15-897 Communication from Matthew and Megan Fehrmann requesting the 2 hour
parking law on the 800 block of Jay Street be moved to a 3 hour parking to
accomodate their business (La Bella Capelli Salon) at 813 Jay Street.
Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Sladky, that this Communication be denied
and referred to Council. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky
15-907 Communication from Judge Steve Olson regarding Municipal Court unpaid
forfeitures.
Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Able, that this Communication be accepted for
Consent Agenda. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky
15-909 Ambulance Service Agreement between Roncalli, Lincoln High School and
Manitowoc Fire Rescue
Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Sladky, that this Agreement be entered into for
Consent Agenda. The motion carried by the following vote:

15-910 Request from Van's Bar and Grill to extend their alcohol premise to their parking
lot for outdoor festivities being held on September 12, 2015, along with
extension of noise ordinance to allow for band to play until 10:30 p.m.
Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Sladky, that this Communication be approved
for consent agenda. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky
15-928 Discussion of future EMS contracts and Fire Chiefs ability to enter contract
without fiscal impact to City budget.
Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Able, that this Communication be approved
with City Attorney to draft resolution. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky
15-959 City of Manitowoc K-9 Preservation Fund
Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Sladky, that this Agreement be approved
(forward to finance) and referred to council. The motion carried by the following
vote:
Aye: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky

given to the public, to the Herald-Times-Reporter, the official newspaper of
Manitowoc, and to those news media who have filed a written request for this
notice that a meeting of the above-referenced will be held at the date, time and
location listed above.
Notice is hereby given that a majority of the Common Council of the City of
Manitowoc may be present at this meeting to gather information about the
subject matter over which they have decision making responsibility.
The above governmental body will meet to discuss and possibly take action on
the agenda items set forth below.
