Roll Call Present: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky Absent: 2- Howe and Soeldner 3. Approval of Minutes 15-1292 November 30th Minutes Moved by Sladky, seconded by Sitkiewitz, that this Report be accepted. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky 4. Monthly Reports 16-0002 November, Police Report Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Sladky, that this Report be accepted. The motion carried. Ayes, 3 Nays, none Aye: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky 16-0001 November, Fire Report Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Sladky, that this Report be . The motion carried. Ayes, 3 Nays, none Aye: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky 5. Public Comment None 6. Discussion and Action Items 15-1272 Request from Eric Sitkiewitz to allow parking on both sides of the street on Broadway Street north of River Bluff Drive. Moved by Sitkiewitz, seconded by Sladky, that this Request be placed on file. The motion carried by the following vote: City of Manitowoc Page 1 Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes January 5, 2016 Aye: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky 15-1273 Request from Maritime Ford via Jim Brey for no parking at anytime on the West side of the 800 block of South 13th Street from their driveway to the corner of Franklin Street. Place no parking here to corner signs on the pole to prevent parking along the area without curbing. Moved by Sladky, seconded by Sitkiewitz, that this Request be approved for consent agenda. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3- Able, Sitkiewitz and Sladky 15-1274 Communication from Alderman Scott McMeans regarding the crosswalk at Waldo Blvd and North 9th Street. This communication was discussed and will be revisited at the next committee meeting. Alderman Soeldner arrived at 6:25PM Present: 4- Able, Sitkiewitz, Sladky and Soeldner Absent: 1- Howe 15-1293 2016 Joint Dispatch Service Agreement Moved by Sladky, seconded by Sitkiewitz, that this Agreement be accepted and referred to Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4- Able, Sitkiewitz, Sladky and Soeldner 15-1299 LifeQuest (Ambulance Billing) request for hardship. Suggested by Alderman Sladky that they work with LifeQuest on working out a payment plan. Moved by Sladky, seconded by Sitkiewitz, that this Request be denied and referred to Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4- Able, Sitkiewitz, Sladky and Soeldner 15-1300 Discussion and possible action on the downtown Manitowoc Parking issues. General discussion was had on the downtown parking issues. It was decided that Community Service Worker Danny Harms would give his recommendation for parking spaces and this issue would be visited again at the next meeting. City of Manitowoc Page 2 Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes January 5, 2016 15-1303 Request to have speed limit signs installed on Straight Street, South 37th St and Robalo Court. Approved to have the 15 mile per hour speed limit sign removed from Straight Street and replace with a 25 mile per hour speed limit sign. Moved by Sladky, seconded by Sitkiewitz, that this Request be approved for consent agenda. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4- Able, Sitkiewitz, Sladky and Soeldner 7.
