In Recognition of:
16-0368 Firefighter Brad Olivera and his wife Shawna Olivera for their assistance with
the garage fire in Two Rivers.

Two Rivers Fire Department Captain Chris Klein was in attendance to
recognize Manitowoc Firefighter Brad Olivera and his wife Shawna for the
garage fire that took place on April 20, 2016.

6. Discussion and Action Items
16-0313 Discussion and concerns from Public School District Superintendent Mark
Holzman and Wilson Jr. High Principal Lee Thennes regarding the amended
ordinance change to restricted bus parking on North 9th Street.

This Communication was discussed. The committee will review this issue again
at the May meeting. At that time they have asked that the Department of Public
Works or the Police Department video tape the traffic flow on North 9th Street
during the morning hours and the dismissal time which is 2:50PM.
16-225 Request by Alderman Able for a yield sign @ New York Avenue crossing No. 5th
Street.

16-0350 Ordinance to amend a portion of Section 10.390 of the Municipal Code
prohibiting parking on a portion of School Street.

16-0355 Amendment to Ordinance Section 14.575 of the Municipal Code to allow
temporary placement of offenders at the residence maintained by the
Department of Corrections at 1118A S. 19th Street

Moved by Soeldner, seconded by Czekala, that this Ordinance be discussed. A
motion was made to amend Section 5 to read "The offender resided in
Manitowoc County for over five years prior to their conviction or was domiciled in
Manitowoc County at the time of the offense resulting in conviction." The motion
carried by the following vote:

16-0345 Department of Corrections Transitional Housing letter dated March 29th
requesting resident placement at 1118A South 19th Street.

Manitowoc Municipal Code regulating limited time and angled parking in City
parking lots.

16-0352 Approve changes to an Ordinance to amend portions of Section 10.490 of the
Municipal Code regulating two-hour parking in the City of Manitowoc.

7. Adjournment
The commttee decided to to hold meetings on the last Monday of every month
with the time changed from 6:00pm to 5:30pm. Moved by JIll Hennessey and
second by Jason Sladky to adjourn at 7:04PM.

given to the public, to the Herald-Times-Reporter, the official newspaper of
Manitowoc, and to those news media who have filed a written request for this
notice that a meeting of the above-referenced will be held at the date, time and
location listed above.
Notice is hereby given that a majority of the Common Council of the City of
Manitowoc may be present at this meeting to gather information about the
subject matter over which they have decision making responsibility.
The above governmental body will meet to discuss and possibly take action on
