Maple Grove Arbor Subcommittee Special Meeting Minutes March 22, 2023 CED Conference Room 12:30 p.m. Call to Order The special meeting of the Arbor Subcommittee was called to order by member Don Varney at 12:30 p.m. Members Present Don Varney, Marilyn Arnlund Members Absent Sarah Piket Also Present None Approval of Agenda and Don Varney made a motion to approve the agenda of the Minutes March 22, 2023, meeting. The motion was seconded by Marilyn Arnlund and passed unanimously on a voice vote. Old Business Planning New Business The following tasks are critical path (but not a complete list) to be completed by the subcommittee before recommendations for landscape ordinance changes can be made to the City Council. 1. Assemble “folders” with information for each subject researched. Examples would be soil types, soil volume, storm water effects and credits, etc. 2. Make proposed ordinance revisions starting at the beginning and going section by section. 3. Create a supporting justification document for proposed revisions. 4. Review proposed revisions as well as the supporting justifications with the full Arbor Committee for comments and support. Update proposed revisions as needed. 5. Review proposed revisions with city staff to get their comments and support. Update proposed revisions as needed. 6. Final review with full Arbor Committee before presentation to City Council. Next Meeting Begin execution of above plan. Adjournment Marilyn Arnlund moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Don Varney and passed unanimously on a voice vote.
