(2) ROLL CALL Present: 4- Vice-Chair Eastman, Chair O'Donnell, Member Ryan and Member Scarpa Not Present: 1- Member Barber (3) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Led by Chair O'Donnell (4) INTRODUCTION OF NEW BchCRAC MEMBER: JIM SCARPA New Member Scarpa introduced himself to the Committee Members (5) CITY PRESENTATION TO FORMER BchCRAC CHAIR MARIA LAMB ACKNOWLEDGING 6 YEARS OF VOLUNTEER SERVICE ON COMMITTEE City staff and members from the Committee recognized Maria Lamb for 6 years of volunteer service on The Beach and Coastal Resources Advisory Committee. (6) APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA MOTION by Member Ryan, seconded by Vice-Chair Eastman, that this be Approved. MOTION CARRIED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: Present: 4- Vice-Chair Eastman, Chair O'Donnell, Member Ryan and Member Scarpa Absent: 1- Member Barber (7) ID 21-1555 Beach and Coastal Resources Advisory Draft Minutes for March 17, 2021 MOTION by Vice-Chair Eastman, seconded by Member Ryan, that this Minutes be Approved. MOTION CARRIED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: Yes: 4- Vice-Chair Eastman, Chair O'Donnell, Member Ryan and Member Scarpa Not Present: 1- Member Barber (8) STAFF COMMUNICATIONS Tonia Selmeski communicated information to the Committee regarding the beach patrol report. She also included an update discussion on the Sea Turtle nesting activity. (9) PUBLIC COMMENT (TIME CERTAIN 9:30 A.M.) There was a brief discussion on changing the public comment time. ID 21-1556 BchCRAC 2021 Beach Goals Beach and Coastal Resources Advisory Committee members discussed the BchCRAC 2021 Beach Goals. b. Gopher Tortoise Sign Replacement Tonia Selmeski communicated information on Gopher Tortoise Sign Replacement. Committee members discussed ways to seek approval from property owners to replace and maintain Gopher Tortoise Signs. (12) NEW BUSINESS None. (13) COMMITTEE COMMUNICATIONS Vice-Chair Eastman Thanked Audubon of the Western Everglades for the event held on Gopher Tortoise Day.
