(2) ROLL CALL Present: 6- Member Morze, Vice-Chair O'Donnell, Member Ryan, Member Scarpa, Member Rasmussen and Chair Boehner (3) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Led by Chair Boehner. (4) APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA MOTION by Member Scarpa, seconded by Member Rasmussen, that this Agenda be Approved. MOTION CARRIED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: Yes: 6- Member Morze, Vice-Chair O'Donnell, Member Ryan, Member Scarpa, Member Rasmussen and Chair Boehner (5) APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES ID 24-3387 October 18, 2023 Meeting Minutes Member Scarpa mentioned that the October 18 meeting minutes needed some updated information. MOTION by Member Scarpa, seconded by Member Rayan, that the November 15, and December 18, 2023 be approved and the October 18, 2023 meeting minutes be updated . MOTION CARRIED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: Yes: 6- Member Morze, Vice-Chair O'Donnell, Member Ryan, Member Scarpa, Member Rasmussen and Chair Boehner ID 24-3385 November 15, 2023 Meeting Minutes ID 24-3386 December 13, 2023 Meeting Minutes Workshop (6) OLD BUSINESS Budget Mary Holden updated the Committee members with some pricing information on the Gopher Tortoise Flashing street signs and Gopher Tortoise or Owls Street signs. No Flushing” beach bird signs Mary Holden mentioned to the Committee members that there was a No Flushing” beach bird signs purchased and installed . Workplan Goals Chair Boehner mentioned she would like to have a dissccusion regarding the Committee members Work Plan Goals. (7) NEW BUSINESS Beach Clean-Up dates 2024 Next Beach clean-up will be Saturday February 10th at South Marco Beach sponsored by Ace painting and Get cat fit. Workplan Objectives Chair Boehner addressed having a discussion with the committee members to discuss the members work plan and objectives. Committee Vacancy Council member Blonna updated the committee regarding the vacancy position. (8) STAFF COMMUNICATIONS Gopher Tortoise sign locations Mary Holden mentioned that City staff will prepare a map showing the Flashing signs locations. July 4th fireworks beach clean-up Committee members discussed having a beach clean up after the July 4th firework event. Life jackets for beach access Mary Holden communicated that life jackets were anonymously donated by a public entity. (9) CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION Council member Blonna discussed rat population controls, researching the opening of canal by Spinnaker, Conservation Collier land purchase on Marco Island, and goal setting process is being aligned with the budgetary calendar (10) PUBLIC COMMENT (TIME CERTAIN 9:05 A.M..) City citizen addressed her concerns regarding growing algae at the beach. City citizen addressed his concerns regarding the reopening of the clam bay canal. (11) NEXT MEETING: CONFIRMATION & ATTENDANCE Next meeting is scheduled for February 21st 2024.
